The present guideline is to be used in carrying out a tunnel risk analysis according to Austrian Road Tunnel Safety Law and EU Directive 2004/54/EG. The tunnel risk analysis model described herein may also be used in place of the simplified method for risk evaluation according to Austrian Guideline RVS 09.02.31 for the calculation of the tunnel risk equivalent value and the tunnel danger class.
