RVS Englisch 03.03.31 Cross-section Elements and Envelopes of Clearance of Rural Roads

This RVS is to be used for planning the new construction of rural roads. For redesign of roads, this RVS applies accordingly if it does not contradict the principle of proportionality (in terms of economy and business economics).

However, this RVS is not be applied to road tunnels with a length of greater than 80 m, junctions, hairpin bends, as well as rural minor roads and rural access roads.

For cross-section design of rural minor roads and rural access roads (in terms of roads, which are meant for the finely woven development of rural areas), RVS 03.03.81, for junctions RVS 03.05.1x, for road tunnels starting with 80 m length RVS 09.01.22, for pedestrian traffic RVS 03.02.12, for bicycle traffic RVS 03.02.13 as well as for public means of transportation RVS 02.03.11 are to be used. Formation of drainage basins and cutting or embankments slopes can be picked up from RVS 03.03.32.
